The word Rapture, although not found in the Bible is the concept that Jesus is going to return in the clouds one day and raise up all the Christians, alive and dead, to join him in the clouds and go with him up to heaven.  After the rapture, those non-believers that are left behind would be put through seven years of Tribulation on the earth. The scripture about the rapture can be found primarily in 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 and 1 Corinthians 15:50-54. There have been numerous Christian books and movies over the years promoting the idea of the rapture of the church and the great tribulation which follows.  Is any of it true or just another religious concept to cause superstitious people to believe in Christianity!
