What About The Children

All too often the subject of religion doesn't even come up until children enter the marriage and one of the parents believes the children should be brought up in the church like they were. The other parent no longer believes in religion, or never believed in religion, and doesn't want the children to be introduced to a religion.  One parent may start to feel guilty about not taking the children to church and feeling a moral responsibility to get the children involved in the church.  In many situations one parent and the children get involved in the church and the other parent stays home. This can cause a huge problem in the marriage.  This causes a lot of stress on the family structure because the husband and the wife are living two different lifestyles and have two different beliefs.  The children start to wonder why one parent isn't going to church and attending the church activities with them.
